How long does it take to get acrylic nails professionally done?

What design are you getting is it going to be tips or sculptured. This can take anywhere between 1-2 hours for acrylic nails. Prep can take anywhere between 30 minutes to 1 hour and then depending on the length and polish design can go up for another 1.5. If you are trying to save time its a good idea to know what colors and acrylic nail design you want in advance.  

Are sculptured nails better than TIPS?

Tips are glued on with a thin layer of glue and look less natural and eventually break off. Sculping on the other hand, requires applying nail form to build an extension.

Sculping looks more natural in comparison to tip. Tip leaves a gab between the fake nail and your real nail that water can get under. This will not be an issue if you used hard gel, but that is the downside of acrylic nail.
