Beach Day Outfits
1. Breezy Bikini & Cover-Up Combo

@_soniapinto_
This is a classic beach look, especially for Caribbean girlies, so yes, get something like this for your trip to Jamaica. Get yourself a nice bikini set and cover up with a colorful crochet or breezy sheer material.
To complete your look, go for a large sunglasses with a wide-brimmed hat. You can get these online for your own convenience.
2. Two-Piece Swimsuit with Sarong

@laurenxwatsonnn
A two-piece swimsuit is not only flattering, but it’s a popular choice to soak up the sun. The sarong helps you to transition with ease to a nearby beachside cafe.
You can choose to go with a one-piece as well, especially if you feel body conscious that day. Check out our list of swimsuits with tummy control.
3. Crochet Cover-Up Dress

@daleskandreina
Crochet has been popular as of late, trending all over social media as well. Crochet is chic and a good choice for letting your swimsuit peek out while keeping things modest. This outfit worked perfectly for a day at Dunn’s River Falls.
Resort and Poolside Looks
4. Matching Linen Set

You will look chic and modern wearing a matching linen set, top with shorts or pants. This is cute and perfect for sipping cocktails at the bar or hanging out at the resort pool. The weather in Jamaica is usually hot all year round, so lightweight fabric is ideal.
5. Swimsuit with a Maxi Skirt

White long skirts are our best summer friends, but any color is perfect. Wear your favorite swimsuit under a maxi flowy skirt for a chic island beach look. Plus, this is easy to transition into a lunch look as well.
Casual Daytime Exploring
6. Tank Top and High-Waisted Shorts

Lightweight and breathable clothes are good for the tropical sun. If you want to explore the local shops, you can wear these to get delicious patties and a Tru-Juice. This combo is my favorite.
Respect the culture and wear modest clothes, especially when visiting churches or small villages.
7. Floral Sundress and Sandals

@shestyledwhat
Tropical print with a nice fit to the body or flowy dress is a vacation staple. Add a shell or straw tote bag and go explore.
8. T-shirt with Lightweight Joggers

@chicover50
For excursions or travel days, a breathable tee and joggers combo keeps you comfy without sacrificing style.
Elegant Tropical Dinner Attire
9. Maxi Dress with Statement Earrings

@andreaperera123
Go with something elegant but still has a tropical print to really give that perfect feel for an under the stars dinner. Add statement earrings to really bring the look to another level. On my trip in Negril, I watched the sunset as we enjoyed a candlelight dinner, highly recommend.
10. Jumpsuit with Heeled Sandals

A jumpsuit will give you instant style points. Wear this with strappy heels, and if you are a tall person, go with flat sandals. This is another perfect idea for an evening look.
11. Off-the-Shoulder Top and Midi Skirt

@margieeev
For another romantic dinner look, or even beach clubs. I love that this fit is flowy and romantic with comfortable sandals.
Adventure and Excursion Wear
12. Bike Shorts + Sports Bra

When you are on vacation, you may still feel the need to work out, go for a jog, or other activities such as hiking up the Blue Mountains. Go with moisture-wicking fabric and pack a mini backpack.
13. Swimsuit Under Quick-Dry Clothing

@laurenxwatsonnn
If you’re doing any water excursions like rafting or snorkeling, wear your swimsuit under quick-dry clothes and bring a towel or cover-up. You will have both comfort and style with this.
Travel Days & Airport Looks
14. Matching Travel Set

@jemaperezz
Airport outfit ideas to go are even when you are leaving. A matching joggers set will have you feeling confident and, most importantly, comfortable for your flight to Jamaica.
15. Shirt Dress

@sheetalkrovi
A shirt dress is another comfortable summer travel outfit that is easy to put together and great for a capsule wardrobe. You can also pack a denim jacket ( I don’t think you will ever need it), which is perfect for layering in a changing temperature.
Essential Accessories to Pack
16. Essential Accessories to Pack
Don’t forget your travel must-haves: sunglasses, sunhat, beach bag, and reef-safe sunscreen.
17. Best Shoes to Bring
Bring three essentials: comfy sandals, water shoes, and sneakers for excursions. I practically just wear the same white ones every day, and one pair of heels or dressy slides for evenings.
What you should NOT pack
- I packed heels but never wore them—block sandals were better for uneven roads.”
- Leave the heavy denim at home. It’s too hot and slow to dry in humid weather.”
Do I need dressy clothes for Jamaica resorts?
You don’t technically need it because you can go with a more laid-back vibe, but I would recommend it if you plan on going to a formal/ fancy restaurant. Resorts usually have different restaurants and different events nightly, so best to be safe in case you change your mind.
Is it safe to wear jewelry in Jamaica?
Yes it is totally safe
Should I pack mosquito spray?
I personally recommend you do, and make sure you book somewhere with AC. Also packed long-sleeved and pants for extra protection at night.
