Bring three essentials: comfy sandals, water shoes, and sneakers for excursions. I practically just wear the same white ones every day, and one pair of heels or dressy slides for evenings.

What you should NOT pack

• I packed heels but never wore them—block sandals were better for uneven roads.”
• Leave the heavy denim at home. It’s too hot and slow to dry in humid weather.”

Do I need dressy clothes for Jamaica resorts?

You don’t technically need it because you can go with a more laid-back vibe, but I would recommend it if you plan on going to a formal/ fancy restaurant. Resorts usually have different restaurants and different events nightly, so best to be safe in case you change your mind.

Is it safe to wear jewelry in Jamaica?

Yes it is totally safe

Should I pack mosquito spray?

I personally recommend you do, and make sure you book somewhere with AC. Also packed long-sleeved and pants for extra protection at night.
